DDG 1000 is the United States Navy's 21st Century multi-mission destroyer.

The future maritime fleet must be adaptable, affordable, survivable, flexible and responsive. Our sailors must have a ship with the necessary tools for them to successfully complete their mission and bring them home safely. Our forces ashore must have the necessary firepower to facilitate their mission and return them home safely. DDG 1000 answers this call for requirements set forth by our Navy and Marine Corps partners. These advanced technologies are needed today to prepare our nation for tomorrow's fight.
